When you delete a point from the point database (PNT), its history records are not deleted from the VHS.
If you re-add the point with a different Point ID (but the same Long Point ID) the point’s previous history records will be orphaned because of the conflict with the identifiers (same Long Point ID but different Point IDs). If you are going to re-add a point and want the history to be continuous be sure to use the same Point ID and Long Point ID.
